This project began as a spec build. As this was one of my first design projects with Curtis Homes, I collaborated with our senior designer to select all interior/exterior finishes. Towards the project’s completion, I worked with our new buyer to slightly alter cabinet and paint colors and reselect the fireplace material. To incorporate a pop of color and accentuate the rustic touches, we landed on a deep navy blue for her kitchen island and bathroom vanities and a floor-to-ceiling stacked stone for the fireplace. To blend in with the surrounding landscape, we also adjusted the exterior colors to dark, earthy greens and a deep bronze with charcoal undertones.
